Description
Medicinally rich and rare Chhichhri honey is produced by the nectar collected by Apis cerana indica, the native Asian honey bee by foraging Chhichhri (Plectranthus rugosus) in abundance. Chhichhri is a perennial wild herb of Himachal Pradesh, and traditionally it is highly valued for its medicinal properties particularly for respiratory and gastric disorder. This herb is a rich source of nectar for the honey bee particularly in the lean period (winters).
